Power surges can happen at any time, which can cause costly damage to sensitive electronics, such as TVs, computers, gaming systems, etc. While plug-in surge suppressors help provide some level of protection for your electronics, they are not 100% effective. Electronics Surge Protection helps you pay for the unexpected costs of repairing or replacing your covered sensitive electronics.
Yes, you can cancel at any time. However, since power surges could happen anytime and potentially damage or destroy your valuable electronics, such as your TVs, computers, tablets, and gaming systems, we strongly encourage you to maintain your Electronics Surge Protection service plan for as long as you have valuable electronics to protect.
Surge damage to your sensitive electronics may not be covered by your landlord or renter's insurance. You are typically responsible for repairing or replacing your personal electronics, such as your TVs, computers, tablets, and gaming systems, out of your own funds. Please refer to your applicable coverage documents (lease agreement and/or Renters Insurance) for proper coverage information.
It is good to have plug-ins/power strips to help protect your sensitive electronics. However, in the event your electronics are damaged or destroyed by a power surge, Electronics Surge Protection will help repair or replace them (up to $6,000 per year).
The Electronics Surge Protection plan does not cover damage resulting from normal wear and tear, misuse, accidents, or acts of God (other than lightning) like fire, windstorm, flood, or hurricane. View the Terms and Conditions for a complete list of exclusions.
